Sampling from a tank:
If a Foam Concentrate is contaminated, samples taken from the top and bottom of a storage tank are likely to have different physical properties. Therefore, we recommend that concentrates not be circulated before sampling.
Normally, two samples are taken for each storage tank
- Bottom sample (1 liter)
- Top sample (1 liter)
If you have access to a tank sampling jar with a removable stopper, we recommend sampling another 1 Liter from the middle of the tank.
The contents of the tank should not be circulated if dilution or contamination of the concentrate is suspected. We also recommend labeling the tank with "Waiting for Foam Test Results" and the date the sample was taken.
Note: Before the bottom sample is taken, sludge, sediment, rust, sludge, etc. It is important to remove. To do this, fill out at least 5-10 liters of product before sampling.
After the samples have been taken, the tank should not be circulated until the samples have been tested and the results are available. However, if it is possible to take only one sample, circulate the tank to obtain a "composite sample" before taking a 1 liter sample.
Sampling from the bottom of a tank:
When sampling from the bottom of a foam storage tank, any sludge, sludge, rust, sludge, etc. should be removed before sampling. Removal is important. To do this, fill out at least 5-10 liters of product before sampling.
Sampling from a drum:
- Take a 1 liter sample from the top of the drum
- Shake the drum strongly and take an additional 1 liter of sample
The same amount of samples are taken.
To the attention of our customers who request sample analysis;
It is important to make a product declaration together with the Product Type, Description, Usage Rate and the product analysis certificate of the first manufacturer, if any.
The labels on the sample containers sent must be filled in completely.
